I have been writing songs and instrumental pieces for guitar for 60 years. I figure it's about time to give them a bit more love. While I anticipate recording some of them carefully on EPs with professional help, I've begun by recording lo-fi demos of my personal catalogue on Garage Band, recording just myself and my guitar in bare arrangements. Some of the songs posted here have been recorded on CDs by The Dogmatics and by Julianna Goldsmith, and appear in their versions on Spotify and other streaming services. I like this music a lot, as if I hadn't written it myself. I don't think of myself as a performer, just a songwriter and a back-porch guitarist, and my care in these demos is just to make a record of my work before I forget how to play it. I'm not very adept at recording tech and I've only just begun learning to use Garage Band, so these tracks appear here warts and all -- or maybe just all warts. They are rough drafts of demos.
